MOUNTAIN BIKING: Boyd Pond

← SC SAVANNAH RVR STEVENS CREEK DAM NEAR MORGANA SC Single Tracks →

Description

Short, steep ups and downs, and sandy, which means that when other trails are too wet to ride, Boyd Pond is usually in good shape.

There is a lot of trail packed into a little footprint, so the trail winds back onto itself throughout most of the ride. A good suggestion is to ride with someone knowledgeable about the trail for the first time. In part, this is because sometimes people unintentionally 'shortcut' sections of the trail and these shortcuts can confuse someone not familiar with the trail. Most folks typically ride ccw, although either way is fine.
